Upper St. Clair to induct nine into Halls of Fame

Nine individuals have been selected for induction into the Upper St. Clair High School Halls of Fame. Seven alumni and two retired teachers will be honored at the annual induction ceremony to be held Thursday, Sept. 14. The inductees will also be recognized Sept. 15 during the varsity football game against Fox Chapel.

The Halls of Fame event begins with a reception at 5 p.m. in the high school’s arts entrance, followed by dinner and ceremony at 6 p.m. in the large group instruction room.

Tickets are $25. The deadline for tickets is Thursday, Sept. 7.

The inductees for the Academic Hall of Fame are John Hellerstedt, Class of 1970; Patricia Palazzolo, retired teacher and Eva Roy, Class of 2014.

The inductees for the Arts Hall include Jubal Battisti, Class of 2000; Aditya (Adi) Rao, Class of 2007; and Susan Hofrichter-Watts, retired teacher.

Athletic Hall of Famers are Emma Hasco, Class of 2016; Dylan Reese, Class of 2003; and Savannah Shaw, Class of 2018.

Founded in 2000, the Upper St. Clair Halls of Fame honor those who have distinguished themselves in academics, the arts, or athletics at the high school, collegiate or professional level and who, in so doing, have contributed to the pride and prestige of Upper St. Clair High School.

Dr. Timothy Wagner, Upper St. Clair High School principal, leads the Halls of Fame recognition program.
