BP Chamber of Commerce celebrates successful year
The Bethel Park Chamber of Commerce celebrated 2022 in which it accomplished many goals during its end-of-the year banquet held at Houlihan’s and announced plans for a networking event and prospects for 2023.
Some of the achievements of the organization included:
- A Nite at the Races. A.J. Scarpaci chaired the event while Kim Davidovich from Realty One organized the auction items. The committee is planing next year’s event to be held in October.
- Veteran’s Day Luncheon. Steve Kingsland and Mary Duva hosted while Rowdy BBQ and Sam’s Club provided the meal for veterans. Because of sponsorships, the chamber was able to fund seven companion dogs for veterans.
Christine Fox organized the end-of-year-event, including the auction items.
In a year that featured remodeling and technology updates at a new office, Dave Deurerling from Pittsburgh Computer Solutions (PCS) kept the chamber up-to-date and ready to tackle the new year.
Elaine McDermott from Club Z Tutoring redesigned the chamber’s website and Facebook page. Charles Dinovitz from Save Here Today also spent many hours with the Facebook page and provided the organization with professionally printed materials.
The working board includes: Steve Kingsland, Linda Rusch, Sallie Pagano, A. J. Scarpaci, Joyce Opferman, Chris Hitchens, Phil Behr, Charles Dinovitz, Kathy Oldaker, Rachel Singletary, Lenny DeMartino, Diane Ford under the leadership of Dave Priore, Board President.
The organization plans to “ring in the New Year” with its Economic Forecast at its Jan. 19 meeting (11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.) at Gianna Via/s Restaurant in Caste Village.
Mike Fertig, Fragasso Group, Bethel Park Council President Tim Moury and Andy Amrhein of Evey True Value Hardware will give a perspective and facts about 2023 in the area.
“It has been a year of many challenges and achievements. So many people have gotten us through the year. Because of all our business and community supporters and a great working board, we were able to accomplish our goals,” said BP Chamber Director Connie Ruhl. “We are excited about new projects ahead. There is more to come in 2023.”
