Titan chills while Dave Williams, a Carnegie resident representing Paws Across Pittsburgh, finalizes a purchase during the annual Dogapalooza in Carnegie last weekend. Seeing other dogs Titan’s size was fun, laughed Williams. “He’s digging it.”

For those on four legs, Carnegie Park was the place to be June 4, when vendors, the “goodest” boys and dogs dressed to the nines gathered for the ninth annual Dogapalooza. WISH 99.7 set the mood with good tunes all afternoon long, and dogs and their humans shopped swag, treats and toys. Human food was provided at food trucks; pooches made new pals and some cooled off in the bathing station. Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh offered vaccines on-site, and dog licensing was available, thanks to sponsor John Weinstein. A costume parade kicked off at 1 p.m. The “paw-some” event returns next year to celebrate 10 years of Dogapalooza.
