USC grad helps fight pediatric AIDS
Malorie Glancy of Upper St. Clair was among 43 students who participated in Baldwin Wallace University’s 22nd annual dance marathon. The students raised over $5,500 to help fight pediatric AIDS.
An Upper Saint Clair High School, Glancy, who is majoring in middle childhood education, danced for nine hours to raise money and awareness for the cause. The event featured a silent auction, basket raffle, lip sync battles, dance performances and refreshments.
As the largest philanthropy organization on campus, Dance Marathon is a campus-wide event that brings together students, staff, administrators, alumni, parents and community members in the name of one cause.
All proceeds go to the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF), which seeks to educate and reduce the transmission and cases of pediatric AIDS worldwide through life-saving treatments and tests. EGPAF is a leader in the fight for an AIDS-free generation and an advocate for children, youth and families to live long healthy lives.
