Farmers’ markets open for the season

The Bethel Park Farmers’ Market opened its 17th season on May 2 at the South Park VIP Parking Lot adjacent to Corrigan Drive and next to the ice skating rink. The market will run from 3 to 7 p.m. every Tuesday through Sept. 26, rain or shine.
“We’re in our sixth season at this location, and this site has been extremely well-received by both shoppers and vendors,” said BP Farmers’ Market Coordinator Lindsey Sibert. “This location offers convenient parking, easy in and out access, and great visibility from the road so that those walking by can shop too!”
The market features 40 to 50 full-season, partial or visiting vendors each week, providing such items as seasonal produce, plants and flowers, meats, eggs, baked goods, wine, cheese, prepared foods, and food trucks as well as a variety of artisan items and pet products.
“We’ll also have musical entertainment for guests and we’re hoping to add cooking demos too!” said Sibert.

“We’d also like to acknowledge the generous support of The Bethel Park Community Foundation helping us to provide the best market experience that we can to shoppers each season” said Sibert.
Additionally, “No Cook” Tuesdays return to the Bethel Park Farmers’ Market after spending the first portion of the year at the community center.
“This year, we’re going to continue this popular program at our market,” said Sibert. “The program features two to three food trucks offering a delicious array of take-home meals from a variety of our most popular area food trucks to eliminate the need to cook dinner.”
