Spaghetti fundraiser planned for Chartiers Valley electrician

1 min read

A spaghetti fundraiser is set for Saturday, Sept. 30, at Chartiers Valley High School for the school district’s electrician, who was injured in a motorcycle accident over the summer.

Proceeds from the dinner will help cover medical expenses for Tim Smith, a 41-year-old who is also a volunteer for the Mt. Oliver Fire Department. Smith has been in a coma since July 21, when he was in an accident on Interstate 79 in Cranberry Township. Smith’s recovery is going to be a “long, hard road,” according to Michelle Oliver, one of the event’s organizers.

A 50/50 raffle and raffle baskets will be part of the fundraiser.

Tickets or information are available by calling 412-427-6199 or 412-926-2301.
