Peters Township school board OKs contract with support staff
The Peters Township school board voted Monday to approve a collective bargaining agreement with the union representing clerical staff, paraprofessionals and bus drivers.
Brad Rau, the school district’s business manager, said the agreement with the Peters Township Federation of Teachers is a four-year contract with wage increases each year. According to Rau, the pay increases will average 4% over the life of the contract.
Rau said there will be an increase to employee health care contributions. The contract covers 116 employees across the district.
“I think the district feels like it’s a fair agreement for both employees and the district,” Rau said.
The Peters Township Federation of Teachers did not respond to a request for comment by Tuesday’s deadline.
