Lynn Smith, Kevin Hall, Ken Smith, Matt Hall, TJ Porfeli and Katie Porfeli are some of the members of Western Pennsylvania Paranormal Hunters LLC. The group visits notable places like the Carnegie Free Library in Carnegie as well as conducts investigations of private homes to see if there is any evidence of paranormal activity.

Denise Leithauser, Nicole Weisbrod, Rebecca Dillen and Josh Renna are members of the Allegheny County Paranomral Investigators and the Pittsburgh Paranormal Adventures Society. The two groups are merging into one and have investigated places like Hill View Manor, Prospect Place in Ohio and Moundsville Prison in West Virginia. One of their newest investigations includes a tunnel under the Montour Trail where there have been reports of a girl in a white dress and a man with green eyes and a white glowing hand.

Nemacolin Castle, Brownsville – Reports of several different voices

Greene Academy of Art, Carmichaels – Reports of whispering and footsteps

Greene County Historical Society, Waynesburg – Reports of voices, objects moving and apparitions

Hillview Manor, New Castle – Reports of shadows, a female voice on the third floor and two investigators being “touched”

Harmony Inn, Harmony – Reports of shadows, whispers, cold spots and equipment turning off

The Ice Plant restaurant, Greensboro – Reports of voices and responses in the bar area, which is the older part of the building that was originally an ice plant

And … for those really interested in the paranormal, T.J. Porfeli, WPPH founder, suggests visiting Waverly Hills Sanatorium in Louisville, Ky.: “It is one of the scariest places in America.”
