Historical Mt. Lebanon

The Mt. Lebanon Women’s Club Building, located adjacent to the Mt. Lebanon Park on Holly Drive, was the headquarters for the Women’s Club. The building, pictured here in July 1952, was often used for social events such as weddings and other kinds of receptions. After standing unoccupied for some years, the building was sold and is used today as a private residence.

As part of its programming for schools, WQED-TV, the first educational television station in the United States, broadcast lessons covering several subjects.
