Four class photos were recently donated by Dorothy Zimmerman to The Peters Creek Historical Society. This one shows the fourth-grade class at the old Venetia School. It was taken during the 1939-40 school year. This undated photo of Peters Township’s Venetia Elementary School was found in our archives. The building was constructed in 1926 and is today owned by the Venetia Heritage Society. It is located on Venetia Road, and is today being used as the Venetia Community Center.

This archive photo shows Peters Township’s Pleasant Valley Elementary School under construction. The school opened in 1963.

School is about to be out for summer, but when we came across a couple of old Peters Township images in our archives, we couldn’t wait to share them.
