Explore 18th century trading and craftsmanship at Meadowcroft event

Frontier Heritage Weekend
Meadowcroft Rockshelter and Historic Village, Avella, will hold Frontier Heritage Weekend from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Sept. 23-24.
Meadowcroft staff and colonial re-enactors will help build an 18th century log cabin from scratch. There will be costumed European traders with authentic goods, a tomahawk throwing station, blacksmithing demonstrations, pit sawing (turning logs into lumber for construction) and carpentry, musket volleys, open-hearth cooking demonstrations and more.
The event is included with regular admission: $15 for adults, $14 for senior citizens and $7 for children ages 6-17. Children under 6 and Heinz History Center members get in free.
