Megan Foster has been named head coach of Washington & Jefferson College men’s and women’s tennis programs.

The 1990 Mt. Lebanon High School graduate most recently served as girls tennis coach at her alma mater.

“We are very excited to welcome coach Foster to our campus community. She is a driven individual who is eager to start working with our tennis student-athletes,” said W&J athletic director Scott McGuinness. “We feel coach Foster will strengthen the great foundation Chris Faulk has established with our tennis programs. The future is bright for Washington & Jefferson College tennis.”

Foster has extensive experience with USTA committees and councils within the region since 2014. She has served as USTA Council chair and vice president. Her duties included establishing annual goals and objectives for the district and monitoring progress towards those goals.

Additionally, she was responsible for appointing council members and chairs to local USTA committees and councils in the Allegheny district. Her responsibilities included managing budgets, developing programming throughout the district, including diversity and inclusion programs, tournaments and social events. She was responsible for marketing the program by developing content for both the web and social media platforms.

Beyond her work with the USTA, Foster has served as a tennis teaching professional for the past three decades.

Her certifications include Professional Tennis Registry, USTA National Early Development coach, cardio tennis professional and ROGY expert (12 and under).

Foster also played tennis at West Virginia Wesleyan College.
