Bethel Park’s Stahara named to team

Mitch Stahara of Bethel Park was named to the Westminster College’s All-Decade team for men’s swimming.
Stahara won 15 Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) championships in his career. He was also a four-time all-conference first-team selection as well as the 2016-17 PAC MVP. Additionally, he has the rare distinction of being a part of four PAC championship teams from 2014-2018 and he is one of only seven men’s swimmers/divers to earn conference MVP honors in the history of the program.
Stahara won six events at the 2016-17 PAC Championships: the 100, 200 and 500 freestyle races as well as the three relays, which are the 200 free, 400 medley and 800 free.
Stahara is a seven-time individual PAC champion. He won the 100 free twice with times of 45.77 and 45.93 in 2016 and 2017; the 200 free three times with times of 1:40.21, 1:41.27 and 1:41.69 from 2015-17 and the 500 free twice with marks of 4:40.02 and 4:40.00 in 2016 and 2017.
Stahara was also a part of eight PAC champion relays and four school records, including the 200 freestyle (1:40.14), the 400 medley relay (3:22.54), the 400 freestyle relay (3:06.32), and the 800 freestyle relay (6:50.98).
