Peters Township’s Nee earns All-Decade honors
Sarah Nee of McMurray was honored as part of the Westminster College All-Decade teams. She was recognized as a first team forward on the women’s soccer team.
One of the best offensive players in the history of the program, Nee was one of only three four-time All-PAC selections in this past decade. She earned All-PAC first team recognition in her final two seasons.
A member of the PAC 60th Anniversary Team in 2014, Nee led Westminster in goals and points in each of her final two seasons. She was named a NSCAA/Performance Subaru NCAA Division III All-Great Lakes Region third team selection as a senior.
Nee finished second all-time in school history with 53 career goals. Her 128 career points rank third-most. Her career goals and career points are both tied for ninth-best in PAC history.
Nee added 22 career assists. She netted a career-high in goals with 17 twice.
As a senior, Nee ranked third in the PAC in goals per game, with 0.77, after she netted team-highs with 17 goals and six assists. Her team-best 40 total points that season were tied for second in the conference and her four game-winners tied for the most on the team and third in the conference.
In 2009, Nee’s team-leading 12 goals were the second-most in the PAC and her 24 total points were tied for second and her team-leading four game-winning goals were second in the conference.
In 2008, Nee finished second in the conference in goals when she tied a career-high 17 goals, and points, a career-best 43. She also dished out a career-high nine assists, ranking second on the team, in 2008.
Nee made an immediate impact in her first year as she was second on the team with 7 goals, 7 assists and 21 points.
Nee played an important role as a first-year on the 2007 team that won the PAC Championship and advanced to the NCAA Tournament.
Prior to her stint at Westminster College, Nee excelled at Peters Township High School.
A four-year letter winner, she helped the Indians to four section titles and three district semifinals.
Nee earned a degree in elementary education at Westminster.
