The Peters Township wrestling team defeated Bethel Park, 42-34.

With the win, the Indians improved to 5-1 overall and 3-0 in Section 4B.

The Indians took advantage of six falls to score the victory.

Winning by pins were: Henry Meyers (113), Chris Cibrone (126), Luca Attanucci (132), Eliot Schratz (145), Jiovanni DiChiccis (152) and Philip Nave (189).

Rob Williams (285) won by forfeit.

The Hawks managed five pins in the match.

With falls were: Aiden Bench (106), Bryson Bench (138), A.J. Tomaino (145), Anthony Zaboroski (172) and Logan Pettigrew (215).

Mason Kernon won by major decision at 120 and Vincent Riepole won by forfeit at 160 to complete BP’s scoring.

The Indians are scheduled to host Mt. Lebanon at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 27.

The Blue Devils dropped to 0-7 overall after a 40-32 loss to Plum on senior recognition night.

Mac Stout (189) and Ben Streiff (285) registered pins while Nick Busalacchi (138) and Louie Pietragallo (145) won their bouts by major decisions. Shamir Amin Sayed (152) and Patrick Dunn (172) won by forfeits for the Blue Devils.
