Mt. Lebanon and Upper St. Clair dominated the postseason in boys lacrosse as several team members garnered honors.

Lebo’s Charlie Pellegrino and Joe Gibbons were named U.S. Lacrosse All-Americans as was USC’s Triston Schaffer. All three also gained All-WPIAL and All-Section acclaim.

Midfielder Brady Erdos joined Schaffer, an attackman, on the All-WPIAL squad for the Panthers. Erdos and USC’s face-off specialist Rory Zahren also gained all-section laurels.

Bethel Park placed goalie Owen Peters, midfielder Jason Muench and midfielder Troy Volpatti on the All-WPIAL list. They also gained all-section honors.

Peters Township placed Keyan Moser, a midfielder, on the all-section roster.

U.S. Lacrosse Awards also went to Lebo coaches Mike Ermer and Chris Hooten. Ermer garnered WPIAL Person of the Year recognition while Hooten was dubbed Class AAA assistant Coach of the Year.

At the AA level, Shawn Leydig from South Fayette earned the AA Coach of the Year distinction.

Leydig’s Lions Justin Vezzi, John Zaremba and Gavin Watkins gained All-WPIAL honors. They were joined on the all-section roster by their teammates Dimitri Gonzalez, Bryan Waskowiak, Austin Demo and Aidan Pierce.

For Chartiers Valley, which reached the Class AA championship game, Thomas Nomides and Jared Schweikert netted all-section honors.
