Peters Township improves to 5-0
The Peters Township boys soccer team remained undefeated after posting a 5-2 win against Bethel Park.
The Indians (5-0) opened up a 3-0 lead with 6:50 to play in the first half on a pair of goals by Andrew Massucci and Alex Grim.
Massucci finished with the hat trick and Blake Gabelhart contributed the other score.
Anthony Schullek registered two assists. Brady Sorell and Grim also picked up assists.
Miles Jackson and Josh Narr scored for the Black Hawks. Jake Zeminski and Keelan Donovan managed the assists.
The Indians girls soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision to Moon but picked up a 10-0 win over Baldwin, before knocking off Bethel Park, 2-0.
PT’s Casey Breier and Maddie Schweiger had two goals apiece against the Highlanders.
Abby Neupaver, Ella Neupaver, CeCe Scott, Ava Cendroski, Jillian Marvin, and Macy Trax also scored in the win.
Breier and Marvin had the goals against the Black Hawks. Bella Spergel and Scott assisted.
Emma Burrows recorded the shutouts.
PT also recently finished with a 2-2 draw against Upper St. Clair.
Irene Doleno and Spergel racked up the goals for the Indians. Brooke Opferman and Bliss Plummer assisted.
Kate Moore and Sam Prunzik scored the goals for the Panthers.
The USC girls also defeated Baldwin, 3-0. Scoring for the Panthers were Eva Rankin, Lucy Volpatt and Vivian Russel.
Bethel Park dispatched of Mt. Lebanon, 2-1, in other girls action.
Lauren Heh scored the game-winning goal for the Black Hawks off a corner kick from her sister, Julie.
Liv Dawson tucked in the first goal inside the near post lifting BP to a 1-0 halftime lead.
The USC boys also scored a 7-1 win over Baldwin.
Ryan Higgs had the hat trick for the Panthers while Andrew Popp, William Bacdayan, Tyler Riemer and David Goldberg registered single goals.
