Volleyball players honored

Aubrey Lang of Upper St. Clair and Sadie McClinchie from Mt. Lebanon garnered Western Pennsylvania Volleyball Coaches Association Player of the Week honors.
A senior middle hitter, Lang has helped the lead the Panthers break into the WPVCA rankings at No. 9.
McClinchie is a senior outside hitter for the unranked Blue Devils.
Shaler moved into the No. 1 spot ahead of North Allegheny and Pine-Richland in the Class 4A standings. Bethel Park is No. 7
In Class AAA South Fayette’s Annika Henke and Chartiers Valley’s Nina Ajello shared Player of the Week honors with Thomas Jefferson’s Delaney Concannon and Trinity’s Maddy Roberts.
A senior opposite, Henkel has the Lions ranked No. 3 behind TJ and Hampton. Ajello is a junior libero.
In Class AA Grace Warner from Seton LaSalle and Lannie Schultz from South Park shared the Player of the Week distinction with two others.
Warner is a senior middle blocker for the No. 6 Rebels and Schultz is a junior defensive specialist for the No. 3 Eagles.
Bishop Canevin remained ranked No. 1 in Class A, ahead of Mapletown.
