Peters Township girls end soccer season

Peters Township ended its season when the Lady Indians dropped a 2-1 overtime decision to Owen J. Roberts in the quarterfinals of the PIAA Class 4A girls soccer playoffs.

The Lady Indians finished the season at 15-4-2 overall. They were WPIAL runners-up, falling to North Allegheny in a shootout. The Tigers also dropped out of the PIAA tournament, losing to Central Dauphin in their quarterfinal contest.

In a game played at Eagle View Middle School, Alexa Vogelman scored both goals for Owen J. Roberts, which improved to 19-6 overall. In addition to her golden goal in overtime, Vogelman registered the first tally near the end of the first half.

Brooke Opferman notched the equalizer for the Lady Indians, scoring with 30 minutes left in regulation.
