Peters Township hosts Mt. Lebanon

Mt. Lebanon will visit Peters Township at 7 p.m. Friday in another non-conference football game pitting Class 6A against Class 5A rivals.
The Blue Devils have not fared well this season against their 5A rivals, falling in overtime to Bethel Park, 27-24, and most recently to Upper St. Clair, 17-10.
The Panthers were ranked No. 1 in Class 5A before facing No. 2 Bethel Park on Oct. 9 and after beating No. 3 Peters Township, 17-10, on Sept. 23.
In the loss to the Panthers, Beckham Dee submitted a standout performance on both sides of the ball. He scored Lebo’s lone touchdown on a 6-yard rush with 6:17 left in the first quarter. On defense, he led the Blue Devils with 12 solo tackles and one tackle for loss.
Nathan Sala (5), Will Hartung (4.5) and Andrew Freedy (4) also had strong showings on defense while Michael Beiersdorf contributed significantly on special teams with a 34-yard field goal late in the third quarter and the extra point.
Meanwhile, the Indians improved to 5-1 overall with an impressive win, 50-13, against Baldwin.
Chris Cibrone excelled, completing 12 of 18 passes for 329 yards and four touchdowns.
Brendan McCullough excelled with six receptions for 116 yards and one score of 16 yards. Carter Shanafelt (69 yards) as well as Ethan Wertmann (53 and 16 yards) also had TD catches.
Richie Woods rushed for two touchdowns, measuring five and 12 yards.
Additionally, Nolan DiLucia tossed a 46-yard scoring strike to Thomas Aspinall.
Bethel Park resumes Allegheny Six Conference action when it hosts Moon at 7 p.m. Friday.
The Hawks were coming off a 28-7 non-conference victory against Penn Hills.
In the triumph, Gavin Moul rolled up 105 yards on the ground while Ryan Petras pulled in four passes for 40 yards. Moul rushed for a 13-yard touchdown while Petras raced in from two and 14 yards for scores.
Tanner Pfeuffer also contributed a rushing touchdown with a one-yard plunge into the end zone.
In other action scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday, South Fayette travels to Baldwin for an Allegheny Six Conference battle while Chartiers Valley hosts Montour in Parkway Conference action.
In a 49-14 win against Moon, SF’s QB Nico Lamonde completed 8 of 19 passes for 117 yards and three scores to Nate Deanes, Aiden Martincic and Wesmyn Wright. Lamonde also rushed for 88 yards and a touchdown.
Christian Brandi and Talan Mizenko also ran for scores. Deanes was the team’s leading rusher behind Lamonde with 67 yards on seven carries for a 9.6-yard average. Brandi finished with 49 yards on five rushes.
Defensively, Deanes, Mizenko and Spencer Hondru lead the Lions in tackles. Matt Boyce, Brandi and Hondru are tops in sacks while Deane, Hondru and Connor Ciara led in interceptions.
Meanwhile, CV dropped to 0-6 overall with a 43-6 loss to West Allegheny.
