1 min read

Gabby Gealey of Bethel Park, Kaitlyn Devine from Peters Township and Alex Culp from Upper St. Clair shared the Western PA Volleyball Coaches Association’s Player of the Week honor with Butler’s Audrey Lehman.

A junior setter, Devine has the Lady Indians ranked No. 4 in Quad-A of the WPIAL, behind No. 1 North Allegheny, Pine-Richland and Seneca Valley.

The Indians are 6-1 in section, having dropped their first match on Oct. 11 to rival Canon-McMillan in straight sets, 25-20, 25-22, 25-21.

Meanwhile, BP and USC trail the Indians in the standings as well as the rankings.

Thanks to Gealey, who is a junior setter, the Lady Hawks are rated No. 8 in Quad-A. The Panthers are No. 10 thanks in part to Culp, who is a senior outside hitter.

In Class AAA, Juliette Leroux has South Fayette ranked No. 7. A freshman middle hitter for the Lions, she was among those earning POTW recognition in the division.

In Class AA, Mia Pasquale was among the POTW candidates. She is a senior outside hitter at Seton LaSalle.
