Mt. Lebanon girls win Legends meet

Mt. Lebanon finished first in the Legends Cross Country Meet held Oct. 8 at the Trumbull Country Fairgrounds in Cortland, Ohio.

The Lady Blue Devils totaled 44 points, to place ahead of Shaker Heights, which racked up a 74 score.

Logan St. John Kletter edged Pine-Richland rival Natalie McLean by one second. The junior also set a school record with her first-place time of 17:29.

Caroline Adams took the bronze medal. The junior clocked in at 18:15.6.

Senior Emma McGreevy finished in the Top 10. Her eighth-place showing timed in at 19:01.7.

All seven of Lebo’s harriers scored in the Top 55.

Other top finishers included: Justine Meta (11th), Phoebe McNeil (21st), Sophie Lloyd (47th) and Grace Kraemer (55th).

In the boys’ competition, South Fayette finished sixth behind champion McDowell while Lebo placed 21st.

For the Lions, Alaa-Eddine Guetari and Jake Borgesi finished in the Top 10. Guetari was seventh in 15:56.60 and Borgesi was ninth in 15:58.80.

The Lady Lions placed two runners in the Top 12.

Lily Colombo secured seventh place in 19:00.1 while Abby Poe placed 12th with a 19:17.30 time.
