South Fayette players erupt with excitement as their team makes its run in the third quarter to break open the game against Oakland Catholic. The Lions defeated the Eagles, 64-49, to win their second straight WPIAL title.

South Fayette celebrated its second straight WPIAL championship in girls basketball. On March 4, the Lady Lions defeated Oakland Catholic, 64-49, at the Petersen Events Center to claim the Class 5A trophy. The Lions began their quest for a PIAA title when they hosted West York on March 11. See inside for more details on the victory.
