Trolley Museum offering park and ride services to fair

Arrive to the Washington County Agricultural Fair in style. The Pennsylvania Trolley Museum is offering park and ride trolley service from the Cooper Crouse-Hinds parking lot every day to the Washington County Fair from 10 a.m.-midnight Aug. 10-17. The lot is located at 2800 N. Main Street, Washington, at the corner of Country Club Road, and is paved and lit. Parking is also available at the Museum’s lot at 1 Museum Road, Washington. Round-trip trolley tickets are $2 per person (kids under 3 are free) and riders are taken to the main gate of the fair.
From 10 a.m.-5 p.m., tickets will be sold aboard the trolleys, which run every 10 to 15 minutes. From 5 p.m.-midnight, trolleys run every 10 minutes and tickets can be purchased (cash-only) at the ticket tent. The passenger platform has been upgraded with improved walkways and lighting, thanks to a grant from the Washington County Tourism Promotion Agency.
In addition, there will also be regular tours of the museum from 10 a.m-5 p.m. each day. Rates are $9 adults, $8 seniors (62+), $6 children (3-15) and free for kids under 3. Admission includes the Trolley Era introductory film and exhibits, unlimited trolley rides; a tour of the Trib Total Media Trolley Display Building, which houses nearly three dozen streetcars; as well as the museum store.
