The Lincoln PTO/Fourth Grade Fundraiser is currently selling Sheetz Coupon Booklets for $10. Coupons are good for things like a free donut, subs, sandwiches, salads, coffee, fountain drinks and fries, as well as BOGO sandwiches, parfaits and drinks.

• The Bethel Park Recreation Department has two Summer Day Camps programs available to keep children active this summer. The Summer Day Camp Program for children ages 6-10 takes place at Independence Middle School and the Summer Fun Camp for 11-14-year-olds will be held at the Community Center. Both camps offer various half and all-day options, as well as before/after camp care to accommodate families’ needs. The camps operate from 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday.
A variety of field trips and activities are included in the weekly registration fees. Eight weeks of programming will be offered June 17-Aug. 9. Advance registration is required. Call Michele Pilotta, day camp supervisor, at 412-831-6800 ext. 224 for more information.
The Corned Beef and Curry Band will perform at the Bridgeville Public Library from 7-10 p.m. July 13. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
Kim Losego will be the special guest.
Tickets are $15 per person and the event is BYOB. Complimentary food will be provided by Moe’s.

Parade watchers on July 4 must wait 48 hours before the start of the parade to put chairs out. The parade begins at 10 a.m. and free holiday activities at Town Park run from noon to 6 p.m. Fireworks will begin at dusk at the Canon-McMillan stadium.
• Mountain Red oldies disc jockey at Town Park Pool Summer Nights Series will be held 7-9 p.m. June 26. There is a $3 admission.
The state Department of Transportation is closing Popular Street from Mansfield to Noblestown Road until July 1. Concrete pavement near the Noblestown Road intersection will be replaced. Only one lane from Mansfield to Noblestown will be closed and the lane from Noblestown to Mansfield will be open.
• Parkledge Sound Barrier committee will meet at 7 p.m. June 26 in the Poplar Room in the Green Tree Municipal Center. Volunteers are needed and residents interested in a sound barrier along Parkedge Road to reduce noise pollution from the Parkway should attend the meeting to provide ideas.

The Beverly Road Merchants’ Association Sidewalk Sale will take place from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. June 29. There will be booths with bargains, in-store specials and entertainment, including activities for children courtesy of Sunrise Rotary.
• Positive Vibrations with the Freedom Band will perform from 6-9 p.m. July 5 during the First Friday Series and will also include a variety of street performers and acts on the Second Stage by the Municipal Building. There will be strolling performers with businesses offering sidewalk sales. There will also be magicians, stilt walkers and balloon twisters.
A date published in the June/July 2013 In-Peters Township Magazine for the deadline of the second quarter earned income taxes was incorrect.
Taxes are due at the end of July 2013, and not June 28 as published.
• A Senior Summer bus trip to the Palace of Gold and Wheeling Island will leave Peters Township at 8:15 a.m. July 31. The deadline to sign up is July 1.
The charge is $79 for transportation, the tour, lunch and the casino. The Palace of Gold is known as America’s Taj Mahal.
Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania Inc, will make an investment to upgrade facilities when more than 11,000 feet of existing pipe will be replaced with plastic pipe during a $1.6 million project.
Pipe will be replaced between 8 a.m.-5 p.m. on work days on Old Washington Road, Southern Highlands Road, Country Club Drive, Fairway Circle, Pleasant View Circle, Marwood Drive, Cremona Drive, Amesbury Drive and Wiltshire Drive.
There will be temporary lane closures during work hours only. There will be a detour impacting Southern Highlands, which will be marked.
The project is expected to be completed by the end of November.
The project will require a temporary interruption of natural gas service for individual customers while their service is connected to the new gas main. Columbia will make personal contact with customers prior to shutting off service and to schedule service restoration. All employee and contractors carry cards with names, photographs and identification number.
