A Pittsburgh woman was charged with three counts of theft after Peters Township police said she stole $1,190 in cash after accepting three customer’s deductible amounts while she was an employee of Opeka Auto Repair on Valley Brook Road.

Sheri Cogley, 39, of 5041 Doyle Road, was arrested June 14 following an investigation by township police after being notified of the thefts June 10.

In additional to taking the three deductible amounts in cash, police said Cogley also stole $120 from the company cash box on two occasions.

Cogley was arraigned before District Judge James Ellis June 14 and was placed in the Washington County Jail on $5,000 bond.
