Sirena Taco Joint & Bar opens in Peters

Sirena, Spanish for “mermaid,” is a new taqueria focusing on seafood-style tacos.
“Nine of the 19 taco options are seafood,” owner Doreen Valentine said. “Tortillas are catching up to sandwich buns as a vehicle for food, so while ours are not traditional Spanish or Mexican-style tacos, we offer gourmet food options that go well with an American flare.” The restaurant opened June 22 in Donaldson’s Crossroads in McMurray; a ribbon cutting was held July 31.
