BETHEL PARK
Fatal accident: Brian Korency, 21, of Pleasant Hills, was driving a motorcycle on Broughton Road July 25 at 1:56 a.m. when he lost control of his bike and wrecked. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Toxicology tests were pending. It was not clear if he was wearing a helmet.
CANONSBURG
Hit with pellets: Bret Wishner, 51, of 608 W. College St., told police he was shot at with pellets while mowing his lawn about 5:40 p.m. July 30. Wishner saw three boys standing near the corner of College Street and Grace Avenue, police said. Two of the boys ran. Police spoke with the grandmother of one of the boys who told police he does not have a pellet gun. A street sign was also hit.
Club cited: The French Club, 527 Duquesne Ave., was cited July 28 by the state police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement for allegedly allowing gambling or bookmaking on the premises.
Money stolen: Richard McConnell of Fredericktown said $200 was stolen from him while a patient at Townview Personal Care Home, 300 Barr St., borough police said. The theft was reported July 27.
Money stolen: Michele Perez, 313 Valley View Terrace, told police July 25 that $500 was stolen from a dresser drawer in her residence, borough police said.
Terroristic threats: Thomas Badia, 60, of 411 Spruce St., was charged July 25 with terroristic threats and harassment after police said he threatened another resident of the apartment building July 21, police said. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.
CECIL TOWNSHIP
House damaged: Jan Scott reported she discovered a round hole in the siding of her residence at 1069 Wind Dance Drive, McDonald, at 9:02 a.m. July 28, township police said. The hole is near an upstairs bathroom, but did not appear to have penetrated the interior of the house, police said.
Warrant: Police stopped William McCabe Jr., no age given, of 200 Center Ave., McDonald, for an expired inspection at 1:26 p.m. July 28, and discovered he was wanted on an outstanding bench warrant from Washington County, township police said. He was taken to jail.
Burglary: Mary Deems of 6 Birch Way, Muse, reported at 5:12 p.m. July 28, that her home was entered and a large plastic jug filled with change and bills was stolen, township police said. Some change was found on the deck outside of a sliding door. The burglary occurred between 7:35 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. July 28.
PETERS TOWNSHIP
Burglary: A lawnmower valued at $200 was stolen from a garage in the 100 block of Kuchinic Street before 12:56 p.m. on Aug. 4, police said.
SCOTT TOWNSHIP
Disorderly conduct: Two women received citations for disorderly conduct after tearing down construction barriers and spreading the barriers across the roads, township police said. Charged were Chloe Gilbert, 21, of 115 Church St., Washington, and Brooke Czarnecki, 20, of 211 Ignatius Ave., Carnegie, following the incident at 4:43 a.m. July 22, police said.
Drug arrests: Alexander Sloan Higie, 21, of 500 Carothers Ave., Carnegie, and William Grannan, 21, of 401 Arch St., Carnegie, were charged with various drug offenses after police uncovered possible drug sales on Carothers Avenue, police said. The two were arrested at 2:45 a.m. July 23.
Fraud: Police investigated when a resident reported at 3:15 p.m. July 23, that a deposit placed on a vacation home was a scam, township police said.
Simple assault/drug paraphernalia: Nicholas James Balaban, 24, of 2034 Swallow Hill Road, Carnegie, was charged with simple assault following an incident at his residence at 4:07 a.m. July 24, township police said. Police found drug paraphernalia in plain view.
Criminal mischief: The passenger side rear window of a vehicle parked in the Glenn Scott lot was shattered by an unknown object before 3:15 p.m. July 24, township police said.
Bicycle stolen: A bicycle was removed from a bike rack on the back of a vehicle parked in a drive on Old Washington Pike before 5:50 p.m. July 24, township police said. The bike is a blue Diamondback Insight men’s bicycle.
Disorderly conduct: Eric Pankins, 54, of 531 Carothers Ave., Carnegie, was charged with disorderly conduct and released after creating a disturbance on Hope Way at 8:58 p.m. July 24, township police said.
Drug charge: Jonathan Tillar, 27, of 76 Cortina Way, Castle Shannon, was picked up on an outstanding warrant at 4:15 p.m. July 25, and during a search police found a small amount of marijuana, township police said.
Harassment: Kristine Renee Trotta, 40, of 214 Shady Knoll Drive, Pittsburgh, was charged with harassment after pushing an officer in his left shoulder at 1:32 p.m. July 29, while being questioned about an accident in Heidelberg, township police said. She was released at the scene.
Simple assault: Miranda Perez, 22, of 820 Capitol Drive, Carnegie, was charged with simple assault, harassment and public drunkenness after police responded at 10:54 p.m. July 30, to the report of two women shouting at each other outside 503 Carothers Ave., township police said.
Criminal trespass: Police responded to a report of a suspicious person near Covenant Community Church at 2:15 p.m. July 31, township police said. No one was located.
SOUTH FAYETTE
Appliances stolen: A microwave, double oven, dishwasher and cooktop, all General Electric appliances, were stolen from a house in the Fieldcrest development between July 26 and 8:02 a.m. July 28, township police said. The owner is Dan Ryan.
