Fire in Mt. Lebanon injures one
A woman suffered smoke inhalation after a grease fire started at 9:34 a.m. inside her kitchen at 15 Bower Hill Road.
The unidentified woman, in her 40s or 50s, refused treatment at the scene, Mt. Lebanon Fire chief Nick Sohyda said.
“There was extensive smoke damage to the kitchen after the woman or her mother accidentally put the oven on self-cleaning mode,” he said.
The fire was contained to the kitchen in the Avon Court apartment and was extinguished shortly after firefighters arrived.
