Bower Hill road is reopening on August 1 after a month-long detour diverted southbound traffic between Painters Run and McLaughlin Roads. The Allegheny County Department of Public Works announced that the road will reopen at 9 a.m. Single lane restrictions will then remain in effect. A flagger will direct traffic 7:00 – 9:00 a.m. on weekdays until the reconstruction work is completed.
