Bethel Park outpatient center breaks ground Since the formation of Allegheny Health Network one year ago, Highmark has been committed to keeping care in the community by providing patients with a full spectrum of healthcare services in convenient, close to home settings. As a result of this commitment, residents of Bethel Park and its neighboring communities in southern Allegheny County will have access to expanded outpatient surgical services at Jefferson Hospital’s Bethel Park Campus. The administration and board of directors of Highmark, Allegheny Health Network and Jefferson Hospital, as well as local community leaders broke ground for a $17 million outpatient surgery addition to Allegheny Health Network’s Bethel Park Health + Wellness Pavilion on June 5. The facility is slated to be completed in spring of 2015, according to Albert Ragan, vice president, Diagnostic Services and Business Development, Jefferson Hospital.
