The Galleria of Mt. Lebanon hosts the 2014 Spring Art Show, sponsored by Painting With A Twist, through March 23.

Eight art leagues from the South Hills will be represented, with each conducting classes throughout the 10-day show. The Pittsburgh Civic Orchestra will perform a free concert at 2:30 p.m. March 22.

Producers Jude & Shirley Pohl announce the next performance at their Crowne Plaza Cabaret Dinner Theatre in Bethel Park. “Murder at the Convent…And Then There Were Nun” runs March 21-22.

The ToonSeum, Pittsburgh, announced that the next Pittsburgh Indy Comics Expo will be held March 22 at The Pittsburgh Federation of Teachers Building, South Side. Special guests include comics artist, writer and historian Trina Robbins; visionary comics artist and illustrator Theo Ellsworth; and Pittsburgh’s own Jim Rugg, artist/illustrator/graphic designer.

The exhibitors room will be open from 10 a.m.-5 p.m., followed by programming from 7-11 p.m. Programming will include artist presentations and panel discussions as well as educational and historical lectures.

Admission is free.

• Award-winning comic writer, artist and “herstorian” Trina Robbins will kick-off the Pittsburgh Indy Comics Weekend with a special presentation at 7:30 p.m. March 20 at the ToonSeum.

Carnegie Borough’s 120th Anniversary Concert featuring legendary jazz guitarist Joe Negri and his trio takes place at 7:30 p.m. March 27 at the Andrew Carnegie Free Library & Music Hall, Carnegie. The evening will also pay tribute to lifelong Carnegie resident Marcella McGrogan, retired executive director of the Historical Society of Carnegie. A reception featuring hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar and a chance to chat with the Negri and McGrogan will follow in the ACFL&MH’s Studio.

There is limited on-site parking, but a shuttle will be available from the free parking lot on Main Street (opposite Carnegie Coffee Company) to the Music Hall and back.
