PennDOT is starting line painting operations on Oct. 2 weather permitting.

Slow-moving line painting operations will occur in each direction of I-79 weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. between the Bridgeville (Exit 54) and the I-376 Parkway West (Exit 59) interchanges, and will continue through Oct. 15, PennDOT spokesman Steve Cowan said. Two lanes will be maintained during the work.

Additional work will be going on in each direction on the nearly five mile stretch of I-79 between the Bridgeville (Exit 54) interchange and Campbells Run Road overpass in Robinson Township. Milling and resurfacing work will occur on the Heidelberg/Collier (Exit 55) and Carnegie (Exit 57) interchange ramps.
