In 2012, he was presented with the Joseph Mamana Meritorious Service Award, awarded to a principal who has given of his time to the professional advancement of state principals and demonstrated dedication and commitment to education.
“The Bethel Park School District is extremely proud that the PAESSP has recognized one of our own with this distinction,” said superintendent Nancy Aloi Rose. “Dr. Jansante has played an important role in our district these past eight years, not only as principal of our high school but also as a leader in the creation of our new high school.”
Jansante began his career in education as a technology education teacher in Canfield (Ohio) High School, and also taught at Bethlehem Center High School in Washington County.
“Dr. Jansante is committed to Bethel Park, not only as a school district employee, but also as a parent and resident, who has been actively involved in community programs for youth,” the superintendent said.
