Lane restrictions will be in place on Route 19 at the interchange with Interstate 70 overnight Sept. 6-7 from 9 p.m.-9 a.m., so that water line utility work can be completed.

Route 19 northbound will be reduced to a single lane controlled by flaggers when necessary to keep traffic flowing from the Interstate, PennDOT spokeswoman Valerie Peterson said.

Then, a full closure of Snowden Road (Route 3015) in South Park Township will go on from Sept. 8-Oct. 8 as Allison Park Contractors conduct slide remediation work each weekday from 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Snowden Road will be closed to traffic between Riggs Road and Cochrans Mill Road, PennDOT spokeswoman Juliann Sheldon said.

The posted detour for southbound traffic is to take Cochrans Mill Road, turn right onto Stilley Road and then right onto Gill Road. Then, an additional right turn is made onto Peters Creek before finally turning right onto Snowden Road. Northbound traffic will use the detour route in reverse.
