South Park Historical Society gets $100k for sewer improvements
State Representative Rick Saccone (R-Allegheny/Washington) has announced the South Park Historical Society was one of three local organizations to receive funding for sewer improvement projects.
The Elizabeth Township Sportsmen’s Association and Twin Rivers Council of Governments were each provided $125,000 and $150,000, respectively, while the Historical Society was granted $100,000.
The funds, distributed through the Commonwealth Financing Authority and the Gaming Economic Development Tourism fund, will allow the historical society to build new bathrooms as part of a 1,300 square-foot expansion project.
“The South Park Historical Society desperately needed a public restroom, especially with the large number of senior citizens visiting their facility,” Rep. Saccone said.
