The Meadows Racetrack announced today it has selected Junior Achievement (JA) as its charity partner for the 49th Annual Adios Race.

Representatives from JA will host a variety of events on July 31 and Aug. 1 during Adios week, including: a meet and greet/autograph session with local sports heroes in support of JA on Aug. 1 in the Legends Tent; Chinese auction baskets with a 50/50 progressive raffle, where the winner will receive 50 percent of proceeds from all three days of ticket sales with daily prizes awarded for tickets purchased that day; Pittsburgh’s Golden Ticket, where one lucky winner will receive season tickets for the Steelers, Pirates, Penguins and more.

JA is an educational organization that uses corporate volunteers to teach lessons in financial literacy, workforce readiness and entrepreneurship to over 72,000 K-12 students in Western Pennsylvania.

Adios Week, the annual celebration of world-class harness racing and family-oriented fun, culminates on Aug. 1 with the final of the 49th Delvin Miller Adios Pace for the Orchids, one of the sport’s premier events for 3-year-old pacing colts.
