God is love

1 min read

My family is, loosely religious. I was raised a Baptist, my husband Lutheran, our children non-denominational. We promote the idea that there is something out there that is greater than ourselves. At the same time, we encourage our children to think for themselves. This is a message for our children, agnostics, atheists, those who believe in God (and not necessarily that Christ is the son of God) and Christians: what we have leaned is that God is love. If people look at their decisions (political, social, economical, ecological, et cetera) from the perspective of love, that basic premise can collectively change minds and, in turn, change the world for the better.
