Teens, Tech and Mental Health focus of panel discussion

1 min read

On Dec. 9, Familylinks and the Youth Steering Committee of Upper St. Clair will present a discussion on teen and adolescent online behavior and its mental health consequences at the Community & Recreation Center at Boyce Mayview Park. The free event begins at 7 p.m. and is open to the public.

During “Teens, Tech and Mental Health: A panel discussion,” Familylinks’ Theresa Zurku, Sarah Ingram and Jennifer Phillip will discuss cyberbullying and ways to recognize the signs that your teen may be withdrawing into technology in an unhealthy way. They’ll be fielding questions from parents, as well as discussing tech-based tools to gauge one’s own mood and mental health or that of a daughter, son or other loved one.

With offices in Banksville and Shadyside, Familylinks is a nonprofit agency that provides integrated family-centered services focused on behavioral, social and developmental health issues.
