Dance attire being collected for underprivileged children

1 min read

Kickline Dance Center in Peters Township is collecting gently-used dance costumes through Nov. 24, to bring the gift of dance to underprivileged children around the world.

Gia Grau, a dance student at Kickline, is leading this effort as a part of her bat mitzvah service project and so far has collected over 200 costumes. The costumes will be donated to Traveling Tutus, a nonprofit organization that brings these costumes to children around the world to experience the full benefits of dance including joy, confidence and self-expression.

Area residents are asked to stop by Kickline at 531 Georgetown Road, Lawrence, to drop off gently-used dance attire or to make a donation in support of Traveling Tutus.
