The Allstate Foundation is teaming up with the Mt. Lebanon and Bethel Park police departments to host the first Public Safety Fun Day at Bethel Park High School. The event, which will take place 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Sept. 19, is free and open to the public and provides an opportunity for families to pick up key tips for staying safe this school year with a distracted driving simulator, bike safety rodeo, child fingerprinting, disaster preparedness and more.

Community members are encouraged to get to know their local officers by touring the police and fire trucks out on display as well as Allstate’s Mobile Claim center. There will be plenty of food, bounce houses and a cornhole tournament, which begins at 10 a.m., with 100-percent of the registration money going to the Special Olympics. Winners will receive great prizes from iPad minis, to Kindle Fires and customized cornhole board sets.
