Castle Shannon Sunoco robbed

Castle Shannon police, with the assistance of Allegheny County police, are investigating a robbery that occurred Monday evening, April 25 at the Sunoco A-Plus at 3505 Library Road.

According to police Chief Kenneth Truver, a while male entered the store and approached the clerk. The suspect asked the clerk for several packs of cigarettes, and when the clerk opened the cash drawer he jumped over the counter and took an undetermined amount of cash. No weapon was seen.

The suspect is thin and approximately 5’6″ and in his mid- to late-20s. He was wearing a light blue, long-sleeved shirt, jeans and a blue bandana on his head, according to reports.

Police said the suspect fled the store and left in a small silver sedan or coupe that was driven by another while male.
