Two in Big 33

Noah Plake-Tallerico and Ray Eldridge will play in the 61st Annual Big 33 Football Classic to be held at 7 p.m. June 16 at Landis Field in Harrisburg. Both are recent South Fayette High School graduates. A 6-2, 210-pound linebacker, Plack-Tallerico will play football for the University of Delaware. A 6-4, 270-pound defensive tackle, Elddrige will play football for the University of Richmond. The game will be live-streamed. Visit www.big33.org to view.

Golf entries due

The entry deadline for the 114th Western Pennsylvania Open Championship at Oakmont Country Club is Friday, June 15 at 5 p.m.

The qualifiers are set for June 26 at Grove City Country Club, June 28 at Green Oaks Country Club in Verona and July 5 at Edgewood Country Club in Pittsburgh. For more details, visit the Western Pennsylvania Golf Association website at info@wpga.org or call 412-826-2180.

More golf

The entry deadline for the 59th Western Pennsylvania Golf Association’s Boys Championships at Lindenwood Golf Club has been changed to June 18 at 5 p.m.

Format is 18 holes of stroke play for ages 11 through 15 and nine holes of stroke play for ages 8-10.

Players must enter online on the WPGA website. Players must have a valid e-mail address and a WPGA account to register online. Player accounts can be created on the WPGA Online Registration Portal, by contacting the WPGA office at 412-826-2180, or by email.

Games at Bible Chapel

Pickleball and badminton are played from 1-3 p.m. Tuesdays through Nov. 27 at The Bible Chapel South Hills Campus on Gallery Drive in McMurray. Admission is free. Visit biblechapel.org for details.

Hockey lessons

SF physicals

NovaCare/South Hills Sports Medicine Clinic, located off of Vanadium Road, will provide physicals for South Fayette athletes for the upcoming sports year on June 15. Students must call for an appointment. Time slots begin at 1 p.m. Athletes must be under age 18 and accompanied by a parent or have a signed permission slip to perform the physical. Athletes must also bring along the current physical form, featuring the PIAA logo.

Paper work is available outside of the high school athletic office, middle school main office or downloaded from the athletic website.

Cost is $15.00. Check can be made payable to NovaCare. No credit or debit cards will be accepted. Call 412-429-0885 for an appointment.

Football camp

The Washington & Jefferson College Youth Football Camp will be held from 9 a.m. to noon June 18-21 at Cameron Stadium in Washington. Registration starts at 8:30 a.m. Walk-ups are welcome. Mt. Lebanon offers the following ice hockey programs beginning June 17 and running through July 17: Parent and Child Hockey Drills and Skills; and Hockey Drills and Skills for Adults.

Adult lessons and systems as well as a hockey goalie clinic are available, too.
