Celebrating its third anniversary this summer, Action Equipment Center is a young, growing small business with customer service at the forefront. Owned by Washington County residents Debbie and Mike Vigus, the company is a local source for agricultural and residential lawn and farm equipment. It has built partnerships with industry leaders like Mahindra, Cub Cadet and Husqvarna to bring tractors, utility vehicles, mowers, chain saws, trimmers and handheld accessories to its customers for their farm, estate and lawn needs. Action Equipment Center also carries a full line of parts for Cub Cadet, Mahindra and Husqvarna, and many additional product lines that it services.
“We service all makes and models and try to provide the best possible timely experience to each and every customer,” says Mike Vigus, a Michigan native who along with his wife, Debbie (Harden) Vigus, who was born and raised in Washington County, are a local farming family with a passion for serving the community. Action Equipment Center participates and volunteers in many community events by attending and sponsoring to help promote and drive growth. Annually, Action Equipment takes part in the Agricultural Days event, and the Washington County and West Alexander fairs.
Over the past few years, the company has expanded its staff education in service, parts and sales to better serve its customers. “We’ve also implemented a tractor/mower loaner program to help customers decide in their buying experience,” Mike says. “This year, we’ve begun to reach out to local farmers, and lawn and landscape companies, and provide equipment for them to demo to see if the equipment fulfills or exceeds their needs prior to purchase to ensure the best possible match.”
Committed to serving its customers, Action Equipment looks to provide faster turnaround times on its customer service needs and aims to supply the highest quality equipment available. “Annual product and service improvements are always in our mindset,” he says. “Our partners have strived and continue to strive to become the leaders in innovation and product development in order to meet our customers specific needs. With all of the new and improved product lines, we are sure to have some of the best performing products.”
This year, Action Equipment is excited to offer new innovations like Mahindra’s eMax 20, a phenomenal sub compact tractor, competitively priced, for the homeowner and estate owners, as well as Cub Cadet’s Pro Z series commercial zero turn and walk behind mowers.
