Christmas Services
Bethel Presbyterian Church
Bethel Presbyterian Church will have two services on Christmas Eve. A 4 p.m. service for families and young children will feature the story of Christmas. All the children present will have the opportunity to take part in the story. A second service on Dec. 24 at 9 p.m. will feature special music by the chancel choir and bell choir and conclude with a meaningful time of candlelight.
Christ United Methodist Church
On Dec. 24, Christ United Methodist Church at 44 Highland Road in Bethel Park will hold its Children’s Christmas Hour at 3 p.m. in the sanctuary; Contemporary Candlelight Worship at 5, 7 and 9 p.m. at the Christian Life Center; and Traditional Candlelight Worship at 7, 9 and 11p.m. in the sanctuary.
Church of the Atonement
The Church of the Atonement at 618 Washington Ave. in Carnegie will hold its Christmas Eve service at 8 p.m. Dec. 24 and its Christmas Day service at 9 a.m. Dec. 24.
John McMillan Presbyterian Church
John McMillan Presbyterian Church at 875 Clifton Road in Bethel Park will hold various Christmas Eve services on Dec. 24 that include a family service at 4 p.m., traditional candlelight worship service at 7 p.m. and a service of lessons and carols by candlelight at 9 p.m.
Peters Creek Evangelical Presbyterian Church
Peters Creek Evangelical Presbyterian Church will meet at St. David’s Episcopal Church located at 905 E. McMurray Road, Venetia for Christmas Eve services. Family Christmas Eve Service of “His Name is Jesus” at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 24 will have child care provided. A Traditional Candlelight Christmas Eve Service will be held at 9:30 p.m. Dec. 24 and feature a brass quartet.
St. Joan of Arc and St. Louise de Marillac
St. Joan of Arc Church at 6470 Library Road in South Park will hold Christmas Eve Masses at 4, 6 and 10 p.m. on Dec. 24. Christmas Day Masses will be held at 9 and 11 a.m. on Dec. 25. St. Louise de Marillac Church at 320 McMurray Road in Upper St. Clair will hold its Christmas Eve Masses at 4, 6 and 8 p.m. and midnight in the church on Dec. 24, along with another Mass at 4 p.m. in the gymnasium. Christmas Day Masses will be held at 9 and 11 a.m., and 12:30 p.m. on Dec. 25.
St. Paul of the Cross — St. Anne, St. Winifred
St. Anne Church will hold its Christmas Eve Masses at 4 p.m., 8 p.m. and midnight on Dec. 24, while St. Winifred will hold its Christmas Eve Mass at 6 p.m. Saint Anne will hold its Christmas Day Masses at 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. Dec. 25, while St. Winifred will hold its Mass at 11:30 a.m.
St. Paul’s Episcopal Church
St. Paul’s Episcopal Church at 1066 Washington Road in Mt. Lebanon will hold Christmas Eve services at various times Dec. 24. A Holy Eucharist with Hymns service will be at 2 p.m.; a Family Service with Band will be at 4:30 p.m.; an Orchestra & Candlelight Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. with the music beginning at 7 p.m.; and a Candlelight with Hymns Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. A Christmas Day service will be held Dec. 25 at 10 a.m. at Old St. Luke’s, 330 Old Washington Pike, Carnegie.
