Congressional Art Competition
Congressman Conor Lamb, D-Mt. Lebanon, is now accepting entries for the annual Congressional Art Competition, a nationwide competition for high school students interested in the arts and looking for an opportunity to showcase their creativity. Sponsored by the Congressional Institute, the annual contest recognizes young artists across the nation and is open to all high school students living in Pennsylvania’s 17th Congressional District.
The winner’s artwork is displayed for one year in the Cannon Tunnel of the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C. The winner from PA-17 is also eligible to receive a $3,000-per-year scholarship to the Savannah College of Art.
Artwork can include: paintings, drawings, collage, prints, mixed media, computer generated art and photography.
Entries will be accepted at Lamb’s Mt. Lebanon office: Allegheny County Office, 504 Washington Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15228, by 5 p.m. April 22.
