Special Triathlon

The My Turn To Tri Special Needs Triathlon will be held at 7 a.m. June 9 at the Spencer Family YMCA in Bethel Park.

The competition will consist of a timed, 15-minute swim in the indoor lap lane or zero-entry pool, 15-minute bike ride outside on a two or more wheeled vehicle and an outside run/walk of approximately one mile.

Each participant must bring a race assistant and own equipment, including bike. Flotation devices are permitted. Bikes helmets are required. The fee to participate is $35.

Sign-ups are also accepted at the Spencer Y’s welcome center.

Summer tennis

Registration is being accepted for the McDonald Tennis Program, which begins June 13 at Harry Collins Tennis Courts at Heritage Park. Ages 5 through 17 as well as adults are eligible for clinics from beginner through intermediate players.

The clinic is directed by Dave Hayden, head men’s and women’s tennis coach at Westminster College.
