“One of our challenges, and we never talked about it, was we were one of the smaller schools (in Class 5A),” Knause said in August. “So we are thrilled to play new opponents with similar depth and excited about what’s to come.”
The Colts have high expectations for senior Jacob Stanberry, who kicked the game-winning, 22-yard field goal with 17 seconds remaining to cap the upset win over South Fayette.
Anthony Collura caught a 27-yard scoring strike from Socrates Boulis for CV’s lone touchdown.
For the Lions, Naman Alemada connected with Joey Audia for a nine-yard touchdown. Alemada completed 13 of 25 passes for 148 yards. Audia had five receptions for 68 yards.
