Upper St. Clair divers finish strong
Upper St. Clair’s Sam Levy and Addison Burnette placed in the top 10 during the WPIAL Class AAA diving championships held at North Allegheny High School.
A senior, Levy finished seventh with a 350 score while Burnette, a sophomore, took 10th with a 341.75 mark.
Fox Chapel’s David Manelis won his second straight boys title with a 571.75 total, 122.30 points ahead of second-place finisher Will Schenk from North Allegheny.
NA, however, swept the top spots in the girls competition with Christina Shi finishing in first ahead of Maya Ennis and Zoey Ky.
Bethel Park’s Jasper Harter-Hughes and Abigail Deil finished in 17th and 19th places, respectively.
Only the WPIAL champions advance to this year’s PIAA championship meet to be held March 13 at Cumberland Valley High School in Mechanicsburg because of the coronavirus pandemic.
