Tournament winners
The Bethel Park Soccer Association’s U-12 team captured the girls’ bronze division in the 26th annual Plum Kick-off Classic. The Sunset Hawkettes defeated Freeport, 5-1, Mars, 3-2, Plum, 6-0, and ABE, 5-2. With a 4-0 record in their five-team backed, the Hawkettes advanced to the semifinals where they edged Tri-City, 2-1. In the championship match, they blanked a different Freeport club, 1-0.
